This collection consists of two autographed signed letters from Edmund Charles Blunden to Trevor Leigh-Hunt. They were written during his tenure at Oxford and are on stationery from Merton College at Oxford University.
Ernest Hemingway Letter
In this undated letter to Mr. Loewi written from Cooke City, Montana, Hemingway comments on literature counselors. It is clear that Hemingway had previously sent some books to Mr. Loewi.
Franklin Society Archives
Includes membership records, officers' reports, business papers, subscription library records, minutes of the Society's meetings and debates. Includes receipts and letters expressing pleasure at being honored by the society. Receipt dated December 2, 1841 from Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson while he was a Virginia constable, which was later given to the Franklin Society.
Ignorance Club Collection
This collection contains the Ignorance Club's programs for years 1909-1910, 1934-1935, 1935-1936, 1936-1937, 1941-42, which contain officer lists, membership lists, lists of club rules, and schedules of the year's meetings and member presentations. It also includes what is believed to be the first paper written by a society member for presentation at a meeting, which was R. F. Anderson on March 13, 1908.

Royster Lyle Jr. manuscript
This hand written and illustrated notebook of short stories (The Screech Owl Story, The Sparrow Hawk New Home, The Baby Wren Queen Home, and The Hummingbird New Home on a Farm) was written by Lyle when he was twelve years old. It was a gift to his grandmother on December 25, 1945.

This collection consists of nine handwritten journal issues (vol.1, issues 1-9) of The School Journal: Devoted to Pure Literature, which was published in Harrington, North Carolina. It is noted that J. M. L. Harrington served as its editor.
