This collection holds documents related to Mr. November’s time at Washington and Lee associated with the fraternity he belonged to: the Alpha Epsilon Chapter of Zeta Beta Tau. He was the cartoonist for the national Zeta Beta Tau organization from 1948 to 1950, while also drawing cartoons for local publications in Rockbridge County and for fraternal events. A collection of oversize scrapbooks from Washington and Lee University's Zeta Beta Tau (Z.B.T.) fraternity documenting student life, various annual university and fraternity specific events such as Homecoming Weekend, Fancy Dress, home football games, concerts, Mock Convention, fraternity social events, membership, and pledgeship. Scrapbooks include original photographs, artwork, clippings, and ephemera. There are nine scrapbooks between the years 1948 adn 1977.

While most of the leaflets are addressing a German audience, there are some in Hungarian, Polish, and Arabic aiming to persuade at least a tacit support for the allies. The leaflets are sorted based on their identification number often found on one of the corners of the leaflet.

Items in this subseries consist of letters between Riegel and over 550 correspondents related to Washington and Lee's Journalism program. Letters range in theme from inquiries about the program, job openings for journalism graudates, the Associated Press, the British Library, the American Association of Schools with Departments in Journalism, and others.

Items in this series pertain to Riegel's personal correspondence between himself and colleagues, friends, and family. Some material is related to or mentions his work, but the majority of the material is about his or other people's personal lives, opinions, and thoughts around world events.

This is a VHS tape that has recordings that relate to privacy or public figures. These recordings are Teddy on marriage from the CBS News Reports 'Teddy', the Gary Hart press conference, the Gary Hart speech to American Newspaper Public Association, Bill and Hilary Clinton on '60 Minutes', the CBS evening news converage of Clinton/lowers, and Bush on Jennifer Fitzgerald.

This is a VHS tape recording of the CNN broadcast Mary Tillotson and George Bush on Fitzgerald.
